OK, anyone will agree that God giving you $1,000 is an amazing thing. Especially when you need it really, really bad. But, for him to do it twice in the same week!!! Yes, I had set out on a trip to do a training in the midwest and before going I knew things were tight for the family. I had placed the trip in the Lords hands. I left with $200 in my pocket to cover fuel and left accommodations and food to the Lord.
One evening, while finally slowing down to rest a couple came up to me and handed me a check saying, we are praying about supporting your family monthly but for now the Lord wants us to bless you with this. I did not immediately look at the amount but just trusted God for his provision. When I later opened the check it was $1,000. What a blessing. In the same week God had blessed us with two large checks. It was clear he was confirming that he wanted us moving in this direction and that he was going to provide.
I left for the weekend trip with $200 in my pocket and returned home with $1,500 in my pocket, a full tank of gas and a cooler full of beef. God is just a crazy God!! God has not replaced my 6 figure income we left when we stepped out on this journey, but he has shown that he is the provider and if we allow him, if we trust in him, he will see to it.
