One thing the Lord has taught me is that I’m not to look at any particular means or method to receive from him. He always provides when they need is there in does so in his perfect timing. In this particular case I had done some independent consulting work for a client and wasn’t anticipating a check to arrive until the end of the next month. In this particular case I typically bill “net 30” and this client pays usually on the long side of the net 30.
Another interesting thing about this particular customer is that they usually will let me know when the check is available and I can stop by their offices and pick it up. However, in this instance we were headed into a weekend with very little money to take care of some basic needs like fuel, fruit, or other food items. This check arrived only a week after I billed it on a Friday afternoon and we were able to cash the check and take care of the needs we had through the weekend. God’s timing is never late and never early. He provides exactly when he intends to.
