We had really reached the end of our finances. I was asked to come do a training in Central Illinois the following weekend and we did not have enough money to cover my fuel, food and the bills coming the following Monday. Things were not looking good. I decided, doing the training was part of God’s plan and he would provide. I intended to take $200 for fuel and trust God for food and accommodations. The bills would be taken care of somehow before they were due.
Tuesday morning, before I left a friend met with me. He said that their church had prayed and decided they wanted to donate $1,000 to our ministry and the advancement of the kingdom. He provided a check which I promptly took to the bank.
I remember cashing the check, going home, and then showing my wife how God had provided. She began to cry and my kids began to smile. Logically, they could not understand how anyone would just hand you $1,000 but they understood how God can do anything to make sure his children are taken care of. I still headed on the trip with $200 and trusted God to cover my food and accommodations. To hear that story you’ll have to move on to the next stories. That was a weekend of great blessing from the Lord.
