Tonight we were able to have dinner with Amri. Amri and I met in January of 2017 just off the campus of University of Southern California (USC). There is this crazy story about how the Holy Spirit told our group to go have dinner at Spudnuts Donuts and none of us really wanted to. But, the Holy Spirit needed us to meet someone. We met Amri who had just that morning asked God to let him know he was real. If you want to hear that story you can click here and read “Donuts for Dinner”.
That was in January 2017 and then in June Amri was baptized. Tonight, my kids were able to meet him and hear the story of how Jesus brought these crazy Jesus people into a place he never goes just to answer his prayer. It was so encouraging for me to have my kids hear the story from someone who had been impacted by our labors for Christ.

Amri has one year left before finishing his degree and then he will begin his career as a screenwriter/director. His love for Jesus is so real and contagious!
Tomorrow Wendy and I will be joining my friends from the Sunrise House of Prayer, a Chinese House of Prayer here in Los Angeles. They have been a part of our prayer team for the past 2 years and are a great encouragement as they meet 6 days a week from 6-9AM to pray for a great many things. The fact we are working with Chinese students in just 2 weeks is likely due in part to their prayers on our behalf and for the Chinese people.
Thursday morning we head North to San Fransisco, Redwood National Forest, Crater Lake and in just over 1 week we will be starting the 3 week camp outside Portland, OR. Thank you for your continued prayers. If you would like to pray specifically here are the most important things.
1. That the Holy Spirit would take us into even deeper realms of relationship with him. More, more, more Jesus!
2. That we would find more opportunities to rest in him while traveling. it has been especially difficult to just get away.
3. That everywhere we go we can have encounters with people of peace, especially among the students we will be working within the coming weeks.
We love you guys and thank you for your support and prayers!
