I’m not sure how other ministers or ministries do it but when it comes to partners we have made a decision to depend upon God as our provision. We have a number of monthly partners supporting the work God is doing with our family and I cannot tell you what a HUGE blessing they are! They are encouragement to us regularly! But we still do not count on this money as income. Partnership could change at any time and the Lord spoke with me early on to be careful not to look to partners as our source. He may use partners, he may use random people, he may use speaking engagements, trainings, contract work, independent consulting or even found money and checks in the mail but the source is always Him. In doing so it is always a joyous occasion when our partners support us allowing us to see God at work through them in His perfect timing.
In this case that is exactly what happened. We were going into the weekend with nothing in our account and no money in our hands. There were some needs and we were not able to meet them. Like He always does, the Lord brought in the resources needed and were able to take care of the things we needed to. I was just sharing with my wife this morning how I am amazed at the way God brings provision through people’s hands in such amazing ways and amazing timing.
